Research and evidence
We aim to support factual claims with relevant, reliable evidence. We favour peer-reviewed research and primary documents where available, as well as official bodies, universities, museums and established professional institutions. The Sources & Further Reading section of each article gives readers a route into that evidence.
A citation is not proof in itself: the source must actually support the claim. We aim to distinguish established findings from preliminary results, inference and uncertainty. Headlines should represent the substance of the article rather than exaggerate it.
AI-assisted publishing and human oversight
Artificial intelligence plays a significant role in our workflow, including topic research, drafting, source discovery, headlines and illustrations. We also apply human editorial oversight before publication. AI output can sound confident while containing errors or unreliable references, so editorial judgement remains essential.
Mind Brewery and its operator, LXQ Digital Limited, are responsible for the articles we publish. We aim to review the claims, relevance, clarity and supporting sources of material before it goes live. If we find that an article falls short, we amend it or reconsider its publication.
Illustrations
Some editorial illustrations are AI-generated. They are conceptual images, not documentary photographs or evidence of an actual event. We will identify an image more explicitly where readers might otherwise reasonably mistake it for a real photograph or record.
Health and safety
Health features explain general subjects; they do not provide personalised medical advice. We favour authoritative guidance such as the NHS, NICE and WHO where relevant, particularly for claims that may affect a person's health or safety.
Contested subjects
Interpretations can differ in history, society and science. We explain genuine disagreement and do not manufacture false balance between well-supported evidence and unsupported assertions. Political subjects are covered primarily to explain rather than campaign.
Corrections and updates
Readers can raise errors through our contact form. Material errors are investigated and corrected. Significant corrections that change an article's meaning are identified with visible notices on the article; updates may be made when reliable new information becomes available.
Advertising and independence
Mind Brewery does not currently operate an advertising network. If we introduce sponsorship, advertising or affiliate links, commercial relationships will be clearly identified and will not determine editorial conclusions.
Information and liability disclaimer

Nevertheless, errors, omissions, outdated information and differences of interpretation may occur. We do not guarantee that every statement is complete, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LXQ Digital Limited does not accept liability for loss, damage, injury or other consequences arising from reliance on, use of, or misuse of information published on Mind Brewery, including any errors or omissions. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If you believe an article contains an error, please contact us so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, correct it.
Our test
Is an article interesting, understandable, reliable and honest about the limits of its evidence? If not, it is not ready to publish.
